WP4 – Indicators in Policy Instruments

This work package will examine the role of indicators in monitoring national and EU-level sustainable development strategies, and in EU ex ante impact assessments. Finland, Malta and Slovakia have been chosen as case studies to analyse the role of indicators for monitoring of national sustainable development strategies, whereas up to 10 impact assessments during the period 2005- 2007 will be examined to illustrate the role of indicators in ex ante assessment.
